Yankee Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Do you think the stock cooling on the eVGA card is sufficient. Or should I look into an aftermarket cooler? I researched a thread w/ a 80mm fan mod. I can use my stock 3700+ 80mm (or is it 90mm?). What should I do? I would like to get my clock up around 500/1300. Ballistix Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I have my eVGA 7800GTX OC @ 490/ 1300, I had absolute NO changes in temps idol or load after the overclock. I do have a 92mm fan blowing cool air into my GPU fan intake though. I don't think you need a new cooler for a 500/ 1300 overclock... Yankee Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Maybe I just need to improve the airflow in my case. The crappy CM Wave Master only has 2 80mm intake and 1 80mm exhaust. I'll put on my new 120mm exhaust and see what temps I get. Because I tried clocking it up to 490/1300 and I was getting artifacts and it was messing up pretty heavily when the temps rose during 3D'05.
