emre2blue Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Hello, I bought my system as the signiture. My main purpose was making a good OC but I couldn't manage it! The Clockgen which is for Nf3 250 is doing some stupid acts. I cannot even passed 250FSB with 3x HTT and 160/200 Ram Divider. I gave up to 1.55 volts to the CPU but it didn't change anything. But When I opened the Ntune I moved the bar to 250 Mhz Then IT did the 250Mhz. How can it be possible? or not? After that I used the computer about 2 hours then it restarts, I didn't do any benchmarks, Is it because BetaBios? I've tried official 504 and 4Vdimm patched 504 bios. Anyway I need your help, even Cpu didn't reached 35C how can't I do OC ???
CPDMF Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 As far as the 6/23 bios goes it has been pretty good for me, it for some reason works better with my newcastle than the Sempron it supports so try a couple and see what it does. Do not use Ntune, it has known issues and can possibly corrupt your bios.. Do your OCing in the bios. Take smaller bites, 5 to 10 at a time. When it fails a stability go back in to the bios. Up a voltage or relax a timing. Nobody can tell you why it won't go past 250HTT because as you have seen in the bios it could be one of many things holding you back.. You have to gather the information as you go up in mhz and make changes that either hurt or help you.. I have two NF3 250GB boards, the first 1 hates the 166 divider, the second hates the 133 divider.
