janitor53 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I recently built a new AMD 4000+ with the Nforce4 Lanparty motherboard. I am suppose to have 2 gig of RAM in dual channel but I can't get the machine to post if RAM is in either of the first two slots, it just beeps at me. I also notice that there is a little orange colored light that is on next to the first 2 slots but it isn't on near the two bottom slots which both work. Currently I can run one DIMM for 1 gig of RAM or 2 DIMM's in the bottom two slots for 2 gig but not in dual channel mode. Did I do something wrong or do I have a defective board? Any help anyone can give would be great. Thanks.
SumiXaM Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 It just beeps at me lol. Try memtesting each stick separately. And what RAM? Edit--- Oh, and I have always wanted to say this. READ THE RULES AND MAKE SIG WITH YOUR SYSTEM SPECS.
lowboy Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Make a SIG as per rules .The way it is, is like asking how long this piece of string is?
SumiXaM Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 An average piece of string is 1/2 a meter
