Gawnja Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I just recently built my comp and have tested it fully and is running 100% stable. I am ready to start overclocking my A64 4000+ SD. I am kinda new to overclocking but was trying to get around 2.6 to 2.8 oc on this cpu. I have already oc'd the vid card to 500/1200. Can anyone help me out with ocing my cpu? Thanks in advance
newguy Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Your ram won't be easy to OC much. U know? But 2.6 to 2.8 should be no problem cause @ stock u already 2.4 , Did u study the stickys on top yet? U need to do some homework first I believe.
Angry_Games Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 drop to 2.5-3-8-3 and you should get about 220Mhz out of the memory or just drop it to a DDR166 divider and run 2-3-5-2 and clock your bit up to about 250 check the overclocking database
Gawnja Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 not really looking to oc the ram, just the cpu.
cyrille_no1 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 not really looking to oc the ram, just the cpu. to oc cpu you need to oc ram !!! or use a devider...... look a 3700+ run at 2.200 mhz 11*200=2.200 the 11 is the multi of cpu.... 200 is your ram fsb..... soo put more volt in your mem 2.6-2.7 and increase fsb... by step of 5 you'll be able too get more mhz out of your system !!! : ) gj with you gpu.... almost clock like a gtx : ) sweet
