Guest Gir Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 well i thought there was a 4/5 memory divider and it would have worked great but there isnt. here is what i want. i want a 2.6ghx clock but wanna keep the memory as close to 200 as possible, so a 260x10 with a 4/5 divider would have been great, but there isnt one, right now i am running 300x8.5 with 2/3 divider but since im using a .5 divider memory is at 196.2 at 1.5voltswhich i could take and my clock is 2.55, well i wanna run at 2.6 to be equal to fx-55. right now my temps are 38load at this clock (running pi 32, or 3dmark03) so im assuming low 40's at 2.6ghz and i can handle that till i get an xp-90. so does anyone have any suggestions on how to clock 2.6 while keeping memory at 200. once i get it running i will prime95 it overnight. thnx for any help
Guest Gir Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 i think im gonna try 11x237 with a 5/6 divider 2607 mhz clock and ram at 186.2 i really wanna have ram a lil over 200, so if ne suggestions thnx if i did the match right a fsb of 237 with a 5/6 divider should yeild a memory clock of 197.5, but it reads 186.2 in cpu-z. here is my math 237/6 = 39.5x5 = 197.5 now why isnt my memory at 197? edit: bppted with those settings and i'm running prime95 now, steady 37/38c , so temps seem good. cpu=37/38 pwmic = 43/44c chipset= 39c all temps are by smartguardian, i use to have 3 temp programs but they all read the same so i got rid of the others edit: so far with it like this i have ran: super pi 32 3dmark 03 3dmark 01 aquamark 1 hour of prime95 so far while downloading family guy episodes and browsing net+forums
Guest Gir Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 i get this error, i dont belive it's cpu related ERROR 2250: Server Unavailable, like every 60 minutes and when i first started it, it can't connect to the primenet server,so im assuming it's a problem with that and not my setup

Guest Gir Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 well i pumped my voltage to 1.55 (smartguardian reads 1.52, it has alway read lower than what it's set at, on stock settings it read 1.37) but neway it didnt fail on those same settings with more voltage and it's quite a bit warmer in my house and now the cpu max temp is 42/43 and every now and tehn will touch 44, which is still acceptable to me but so far so good with more voltage
red930 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 ok after a while got this error, can ne1 tell me what it means UID: S387553/brandi, M21972079 no factor to 2^65, Wc1: D2FB923F FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. i got that after running for almost 6 1/2 hours Means that something got too hot probably, could be either the RAM or cpu. 44 is the max you've seen it at under load? That's not terrible, especially if you still have that radioshack goop on it. Try backing down a bit and see what happens. Could possibly also be your PSU not being able to handle the load, but I doubt it.
Guest Gir Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Yeah 44 is max, it was 38 last night but it's super hot outside today and last night it was freezing. I bumped to voltage to 1.55 from 1.5 and it's running now, it would fail at 1.5. It has been running over an hour now. It was doing some other kinda test last night that i dont think was the torture test, it ran it for like 6 hours then switch to this test and failed immedietly. So i tried running test again, failed in first minute. Then i upped voltage and has been running over an hour. Its running the LUCAS-LEHMER right now. It ran something like this last night M21972079 2^54 (that wasn't exacly it but something close to it, which like i said ran for 6 hours then it went to the LL test and failed)
Guest Gir Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 4 hours so far, would it be ok if i paused it to play some cod:uo? or will that defeat the purpose of the test?
Guest Gir Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 ok i have been running prime 95 for a lil over 6 hours, during the last 30minutes time i have installed cod + cod:uo, download many large files and all kinds of stuff, i really wanna play uo, can i stop prme95 and continue later or will that defeat the purpose of priming?
