cybersimo Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I am doubling my post, because my question was in another thread. I have three PSUs. I cannot buy ANY from the recommended PSUs discussed in this forum, cause in Bulgaria they don't sell them. So my question is which one of these 3 PSUs should I use? I will not use SLI, but I intend to do some O/C. 1st: DeLUX 450W DC OUTPUT (MAX) +5V - 38A +12V - 18A +3.3V - 32A -12V - 0.8A -5V - 0.5A +5VSB - 2A 2nd: AKYGA 500W +5V - 50A +12V - 18A +3.3V - 28A -12V - 1A -5V - 0.8A -5VSB - 2A 3rd: Q-TEC 550W (the one from my sig.) +5V - 35A (MAX) , 40A (PEAK) +12V - 14A (MAX), 20A (PEAK) +3.3V - 20A (MAX), 20A (PEAK) -12V - 0.5A (MAX), 1A (PEAK) -5V - 0.5A (MAX), 1A (PEAK) +5VSB - 3A (PEAK) * only the 1st one has a native 24pin connector * i am using the 3rd one for about two months and I have no issues with it. Sharp Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Hello, Q-tec make bad power supplies. Are you able to OC with your 20pin PSU? Usually they dont allow any OCing. Can't you import one?

Can't you import one? as a matter of fact i can o/c with the q-tec (about 260-265 x9 stable), but now i am trying to o/c with the delux (the one with the 24pin). i think this is more important to be 24 pin conn. than more wattage (24 pin 450W vs. 20 pin 550W). correct me if i am wrong

tatts Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 amps are more important than watts. as for the qtec 550w, i consider it as a swear word, i was given one and used it for 2days but was unstable and i didnt trust it. i have heard so many horror stories about them which is why the bin men collected it 4days later

davidhammock200 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 You could use 2X PSU's, one for the mobo & video, the other for the drives, fans, etc.
