L337 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Place the one stick in dimm slot 2. The orange slot closest to edge of motherboard. No go. Prehaps i should be more descriptive, when the board does power on, the diagnostic LED's are all on and fixed, only this doesn't happen often, usually what happens is the LEDs will go on for a split second and the fans will spin a tiny bit but afterwards does nothing, and the board will not even feign a start again until i cycle the PSU power on and off. StephenC Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Ok, check your build. Make sure nothing is shorting motherboard to case. Make sure you do not have a extra standoff. Loosen the screws securing motherboard to pan. Try the barebones approach. Connect only what is required to post (no drives or add-on cards) Disconnect/remove from motherboard and PSU). If the same, try it outside the case.
L337 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 'Barebones' is how i have it configured now. I really am stumped. I appreciate the suggestions still though
StephenC Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Is it in or out of case?
L337 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Its out of the case. It was on the case's mobo tray but i removed it from that and now its lying ontop of its box with the static bag inbetween.
StephenC Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Remove the static bag. The protection is on the inside of the bag. place it on the foam that the mobo came on. Is there anyway you can check your parts with another motherboard? Do you have a pci video card?
L337 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 All the parts exluding the video card I had working on my MSI NF3 motherboard so i know they work, its just the video card i'm not shure about. I have tried running without the video card to no avail, and unfortunately i don't have a PCI one lying around. I will go try remove the static bag.
