dippyskoodlez Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Yup...never heard a peep beep or buzz. theres probably a jumper to enable the speaker like the NF4... switched the jumper and my computer began to beep like normal... it was off, default. xenotick Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Yeah, I just checked mine, it says 'default' on in the book, but if you check it chances are it's not. (Mine was off) Just set mine to on anyway.
OldGuy Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Yup again...was not set to "default" from factory (first and second board). I can barely hear my new board but it does "beep" when it's supposed to...
Impaqt Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 It's interesting that the manual doesn't list 2/4 as a valid combination for either dc or sc operation. I'm having huge problem running my ram to spec so I may have to try the 2/4 approach. The Chart is for Single or Double SIded modules (On page 29) THought that was stragne at first myself.... But if you read the paragraph under the chart the light bulb turns on A DIMM's SPD is originally fixed at 1T. When modules are insertedin DIMM 1 and DIMM 3, the SPD must be 2T for better system stability. We recommend inserting DIMMs in DIMM 2 and DIMM 4. So I would advise everyone to switch their dimms to 2/4 if your runing 1/
Diverge Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Yeah, that page sure confused the hell out of me too. I've had my ram in 1 & 3, and plan on trying 2 & 4 soon as i get home. I hope i get some added OC room and stability

Orillian Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Wierd I'm running mine at 1T in 1/3....granted no overclock yet. I'm just getting familiar with all the features first! Quirky board this one! Running pretty nice at defaults sofar though! Got to get me a 4400 X2 though to really test her out. And the Crossfire card. Hmm...next week maybe. O. OldGuy Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Bershatsky, you've had your say already. You are disappointed with the board and understandably so. For those that have the board and intend to keep it, hell or high water, you offer no help by continuing to rag on the board. Some of us like to tinker and tweak and don't mind a few quirks. Enjoy your new motherboard and move on my friend...
