davidhammock200 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 From sig David Antec SP 2.0That should be fine, just make sure all 4-power connectors are connected.
Guest Monte Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 All power connectors are plugged in. I removed the ide cables and am now getting activity fron the HD and CD drive, but still no video or boot up from the board.
malinois1 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 You need to try with a minimum setup. That means.....PSU, Mobo, CPU, CPU Cooler, Vid card, 1 stick of ram in the orange slot closest to the edge of the board. If possible try outside of the case on the mobo box. tom_johnson Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 yeah you really need to go back to the bare essentials needed to boot in order to diagnose properly, some people have had the back of the mobo shorting on the case, so you need to eliminate all possibilties. Have you tried a long CMOS clear?
HITandRUN Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 What BIOS are you running? Make sure you download Tmod's Bios cd http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22031 and try another BIOS! Also make sure the IDE cables are plugged correctly! Sometimes when they not the BIOS will freeze. At lest that happened to me!

millejr4 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 I've had a similar problem. computer will work fine, but once i shut it down i have to clear the cmos for a LONG time in order to get past the "4 red led's" and get it to boot again. i'm afraid to shut it down right now... malinois1 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 It is probabaly that the raam and this mobo doesn't jive . She is a bit picky about ram.
