Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have the following Hardware:

- DFI Lan Party 4 Ultra D

- A64 Venice 3200 E6

- Corsair XMS DIMM 1 GB XL Kit, für PC, PC3200, 2-2-2-5 (DDR400, WINX1024-3200XL)

- Sapphire Radeon X850XT

- Zalman CNPS9500 LED

- Samsung Spinpoint SP2504C SATA

My Problem:

I have CRC errors when downloading files from the web or extracting archives.

I'm using WinXP X64.

I've already changed the RAM, but still have the same Problem.

There was this floppy included in the DFI Lan Party 4 Ultra D package:

"SATA Raid Driver Disk nVidia nF4 Silcion Image 3114 Rev.1.0"

Is it necessary to install it that the Samsung Spinpoint SP2504C SATA HD works properly?

I have already installed the "nForce4_amd_6.66_winxp64_international.exe" package which includes a SATA RAID Driver, but I have this CRC errors.

THX

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

Yes I've used this firewall.

Will deactivate it and then check what will happen.

May I assume that all files I've downloaded when this firewall was on are corrupt?

Even when I deactivate it now?

Don't use the NV firewall the IDE drivers and the NTune software! All these have caused trouble in the past!

The nVidia IDE drivers cause a problem in a few cases. I've always used the nVidia IDE drivers and never encountered a problem.

Since the MS IDE drivers install with the OS, you can install the nVidia drivers and use the driver roll back function if you do have a problem.

It is only NVidia's broken hardware firewall that causes this. Turn it off and fixed are the CRC errors.
