davidhammock200 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Do NOT use the mobo to power any fans! Use a fan controller!

Sorrento Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 The mobo has an amperage limit to feed into fans... just to be sure I would use an external fan controller being fed directly from the psu. The new Si-120 looks promising, but the old XP-90 would do the job very well and with a Panaflo fan or even a more powerful Delta (with external fan controler) the noise will be really low. The cost of a XP-90 is ridiculus these days: @ Sidewindercomputers.com Good luck

Guest Gir Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 so dont even power the cpu fan with the mobo? it's the only one i do power with mob, if thats a problem it's going to straight 12volt power (stock hsk for 3000+ no o/c)

davidhammock200 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 What's the best case scenario? If it's 20MHz it aint worth it, but 100MHz... I've seen the difference between 0GHz (no boot) to almost 3GHz. I have also seen 0 difference.
