cliffy

very stuck, just cant fix

Recommended Posts

I've been having problems with my system restarting. It always happens on the windows xp logo screen and will normally do this a couple of times before finally loading windows. It normally reboots before the little bar has done one pass although a couple of times the pointer has appeared on black screen and then its happened. i was origuinally truing the official bios but have scince moved to this one still to no joy. i have ran memtest on each stick individually and together and they are fine, i have installed a different DIMM same results and i have tied the DIMMS on there own in slot 2. The RAM is running at 2.8Volts. I have to run it at 2T cause it just wont boot at all (past windows logo) on 1T. This is becomming very frustrating and normally occurs when i turn the system on or if i make changes in the bios (non critical changes). Some please help, still not confidenced that my NEWCASTLE core still isn't causing this problem some how

Did you check your RAM on the compatibility list?

Have you ever gotten into windows? Under what circumstances?

Can you try to reinstall?

Hello,

# Turn the PC off.

# Clear the MOS for 10 minutes

# Make sure you put the CMOS jumper back to the save position.

# Power the PC

And see what happens.

# it is very important that you do not load any CMOS RELOADED profile that was saved on a previous BIOS when using a different BIOS.

Have you ever done this?
