ats>inFEX Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 Hello Peoples, I've already searched the forums concerning this problem, and I've also found some threads but I wasn't sure if it would also work on my mainboard. I've following config: AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (Thoroughbred, not oc) on a ABIT KX7-333 Mainboard with the latest bios-update. Cooled by a Superconductor Tube of Revoltec. Graphiccard is a HIS Radeon 9700pro and Ram are DDR-SDRAM 333mhz@cl2 from Kingston. OS is WinXP 5.1 Build 2600. The SoftMenu of ABIT allows to change multiplier and fsb, and I already know how it would work ca. but I just wanted to ask you Experts, what I've exactly to do, and which settings are the most stablest. Thanks already for all answers... and rya
blippy Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 heh, sorry to say this, but since you've said you read a bunch of threads, there's not much else we can tell ya except (1) everyone's computer is different, so how much you can OC can vary (2) whatever you do, move it slowly personally, start raising the fsb and see how it goes.....whatever you do, move it slowly it looks like if you move your fsb higher than 166, and you keep your memory at 100% or in sync with the FSB, you'll be overclocking it some. You might want to get some heatsinks if things go badly. best of luck with it.
