Angry_Games Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 im using an XP-90 with the retail fan that comes with it I doubt seriously that my cpu is actually getting as much voltage as I am having to dial in through the bios though (probably incorrectly calibrated voltage and temp sensor)
Guest jaco Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Angry, I can't go higher than 266HTT. I've tried Corsair BH-5 ,Geil UltraX and OCZ Rev2. Drive strength 7 and data drive strength 1 seems the best setting , but still maxed out at 266HTT. This is with the 166divider, so memory around 222Mhz. Highest 1:1 is 260HTT 2,5-4-4-7 so far. any ideas? jaco
RGone Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 If you are not putting at least 3.05 or 3.10 on that TCCD stuff it is not going to do much over 222Mhz memory. RGone... Angry_Games Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Look in the overclocking database to see how much voltage I used. You can try less or more yourself. I think I only needed 2.75v for GEIL ONE TCCD.
uwackme Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Anyone get one of these boards to run 250Mhz 1:1 on memory, 7,2,2,2.0 with BH5 yet?
Angry_Games Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Anyone get one of these boards to run 250Mhz 1:1 on memory, 7,2,2,2.0 with BH5 yet? good look getting bh-5 to run anything above stock on these boards I've tried 4 different kits of BH-5 and UTT BH-5 and even my two CH-5's (VX4000 and some Corsair) nada zip it aint happening
thedude Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 So what is the best (somewhat stable) you´ve done with 2 sticks of 512mb utt bh-5 - 1T 2-2-2-5 ? Or 2 sticks of 1024mb if that´s what you have. Is 250MHz out of question??
Impaqt Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Oh.......... I dont know if I would say its immposible...... As a matter of fact, its quite posible.... I did have to give my BH-5 more voltage to get here than I did on my Ultra-D. But here we go....(3.57v) My TCCD wouldnt do over DDR400 for me though. Quite stange as it does DDR550 on my Ultra D at 2.5-3-3-
Guest jaco Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I got up to 238Mhz 2-2-2-7 3,31vdimm , 2*256MB Corsair 3500 Bh5. Tried 3,37 & 3,42vdimm , different drive strength/data drive strength settings... anything higher doesn't boot.
chefnr1 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 my rigg start upp just fine on 260x13 but it's just not stable, in 250x13 i can do benchmark, there must be an bios uppdate for this , firstrelease bios sucks and i use the rigg in sign
MaxT Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 So far I am up to 270FSB (1:1). 270FSB (x3 HTT multi) x 10multi = 2.7Ghz for my 3700+ SD. 28c idle 40c load at 1.67v. 2 x 1 GB Ballistix are doing 270Mhz 3-4-4-8-1T dual channel at 2.8V (2.73 smartguarding reading) so far, i haven't tried to tighten the timing yet. Testing for prime95 stability, so far 6 hours stable. Most setting are on AUTO for the memory timings, just have command per clock enabled and manually set 3-4-4-8 timings. Not too bad so far, just the cpu is not a very good overclocker (0526 week).
