Boppo Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Boot up with each pair individually and see what CPU-Z says their SPD is. Make sure they match exactly.
pablo Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 they say the same exact thing for the spd. should i set it up in the bios with those settings

Boppo Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 What about Memtest? Have you run that on the new pair and then with all 4?
pablo Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 i havnt ran memtest on the new pair but to do it with the 4 of them i would need it to boot up first
Boppo Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Duh. Totally slipped on that one. Try entering the speeds manually. Or have you tried this? Another thing you could try is clear the cmos.. Then before you press the power button to turn your rig on.. Hold the INSERT key and then press the power button while you are still holding down the INSERT key.. If it boots and you see the post screen then let go of the INSERT key and press delete to see if you get into bios.. Not sure if that will work, but I have had to resort to it when some OC changes went badly.
