My PC reboots randomly, even if it's not OC'ed!?(Clear CMOS) I've got a Venice 3500+,NF4 SLI-D and 2*512MB OCZ Platinum DDR3200 One example: My venice @ 2.5GhZ... I play CS:Source for 1 hour, nothing happens... After that, I visit a website, Pam, reboot... Help me plz! this is very frustrating!! When it is in your signature we can see it every time you post. A couple of questions for you. What BIOS are you running? Which NVidia NForce drivers are you using? Which ones did you install? When you cleared the CMOS did you go into the BIOS and load Optimized defaults? Which slots are your memory in? That should get us going at least. The one released by DFI, the latest new one I think I installed the Nforce drivers of my DFI CD Memory in slots 2 & 4 (Dual channel) I have loaded optimized defaults... demonR6 Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Start by going to the nVidia drivers homepage then select platform drivers > nForce 4 AMD > and choose your OS. Version 6.66 is the latest.. Boppo Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 OK, if you haven't updated your BIOS you probably either have 3/10-3 or 1/25-3. Both are old. To find out what version you have you need to go into BIOS and turn off the LANPARTY Splash screen. I think it is on the Advanced settings screen, but I am not sure at the moment. Then when you reboot there will be a date in the lower left corner of the screen. That is your BIOS version. You can get the NForce drivers from the NVidia website. (If you have bios that came with mobo you are going to want to flash it).Get it at http://www.cpuid.org/cpuz.php nice little util..will show you alot about your system. Have you tried 1 stick of ram? Have you tested your system for stability? If in windows try this, its more sensitive than dos memtest (if you can boot into windows) http://www.hcidesign.com/memtest/ see if you can run 8 hours of this with no errors.
