Angry_Games Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 i don't have one... can you tell me exactly how much voltage are you putting in the cpu lol you are trying the cheap way out you cannot know how much voltage you are giving your memory without a DMM to test it's actual voltage trying to use the bios to guess just doesn't work since boards never give EXACTLY what you tell them to give DMM was $20 at my local radio shack or electronics store worthy investment trying to tell you how to figure out how much voltage you are giving your memory without one is like trying to describe the color red to a blind person
AndrewZorn Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 what is a DMM i have a voltmeter thing but i wouldnt know where to stick it
Angry_Games Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 dmm, dvm, basically what you have make sure the black lead is plugged into any molex connector's black wire (there's always 2 blacks in the middle of every 4-pin molex connector)
Angry_Games Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 ps Andrew....rule #9 says you MUST fill in your location...please do so for us
Angry_Games Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 tell me if you can see what is different than I normally do (other than a picture of the memory itself) http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...44&postcount=55 again, this cpu has never been able to run dual-prime95's @ 2750Mhz for more than 13 minutes before the second core craps out (I have tried every memory, voltage, and timing configuration I can think of that I have laying around and never could I get stable above 2650Mhz on this cpu)
Pyr0 Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 is it the DRAM Response time?

Pyr0 Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 i'll tell you this...I had an X2 4400+ before anyone here had an X2... what's the date code on the chip? whenever i see anyone post a date code for a 4400, mine is usually earlier on the top of my chip it says ACBWE 0517 TPMW hah ok that is one i guess but there's something else hehe, i'll look again
Pyr0 Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 32 byte granularity? bypass max? the only thing that really stands out is the low memory voltage
AndrewZorn Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 thanks angry games i thought id have to stick it down in the slot or something! now i can try actually though i just got it out and its out of batteries, i accidentally left it on i was going to measure my rails too but like i said no more batteries they look like the $3/each batteries too... its a cool little device too i just havent got to use it on my computer yet to check voltages ill fill in my location, as well as look at your values EDIT LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio? Can it be? You are running a 1250 HTT! is that the key?
ExtraPickles Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 hah ok that is one i guess but there's something else Off the top of my head without comparing I didn't think that you normally up the chipset voltage but I could be wrong... On your next post in the OC database with the OCZ the text settings don't match the screenshot for Tref & Bypass Max... -pickles
GunBLADE Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 hah ok that is one i guess but there's something else that doesnt work here 2.6 on the mem
