kola Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 Hi, Just built a new system, and I'm running into one kink...game play. Here is what I am seeing - On SOFII and RTCW as well as others, I am seeing acceleration problems or low frame rate and some dragging when running at almost any video setting...I have adjusted, tweaked them back and forth looking for the problem. What sucks...is that I am still benchmarking 10,500 in 3Dmark 2001se. Not sure if anyone else sees this, but when benchmarking...the screen drags like a mother. Anyway...I have formated the drive, re installed the O/S along with everything else a couple times. Dumped drivers...even replaced hardware to see if I could fix this. Here is what I have - Nothing's overclocked Asus mainboard P4B533....(already updated the Bios) there's no conflicting on board graphics. P4 2.26 w/533FSB (Northwood).....P4dragon heatsink/fan 1 Gig 266/2100 DDR (Mushkin) Geforce 4Ti4600(Visiontek) latest detonator driver which should carry the latest openGL/3D? Soundblaster gamer NEC FE1250 22' monitor (desktop settings at 1024/728 32bit) microsoft intellimouse (not wireless) WD 60 Gig HD (slot 1 master) CDRW (slot 1 slave) Samsung DVD (slot 2 master) O/S XP See, the system should definetley be able to handle 1024/768 on a 3d game...but it still drags when it should be rockin' Can anybody give me an idea of where I should go next, cause I'm getting ready to tear it down again and start from the mainboard up. Thanks, Kola
