timmur Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 In a previous post, I had a boot issue. Here's the thread . I bought a new power supply and found the same issue. I tried removing the USB mouse and everything worked fine. I downloaded the latest BIOS and flashed the board. I followed all of the instructions regarding the flash procedure and everything seemed fine. I re-booted and got rid of splashcreen and made a few other settings in the BIOS, but didn't overclock . I set the boot order to removable, cdrom, and harddrive. I re-booted again and everything was fine - it posted and booted into Windows. I decided to set the clock speeds back to their former settings and do some stability testing, so I restarted and hit DEL to get into the BIOS and instead of getting into the BIOS, the NVRAID BIOS screen came up and said "detecting array" and just hangs there forever. I don't have, nor have I had a RAID array. I can't get into the BIOS to shut off NVRAID or make any changes. I can boot into Windows if I let the board POST and then hit F1 to skip past the checksum error that comes up. I've tried to the complex (?) CMOS clear and long (overnight) CMOS clear. Can anyone help?

Bobthebozo Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 You mean you can't get into the BIOS setup even after a long CMOS clear?
timmur Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. I can get into Windows though.
timmur Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 If I don't try to get into the BIOS, the drives are detected and then the following message appears: "Detecting IDE drives...h1 M. : None can run Memtest86 without any boot device. None"
Bobthebozo Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Are you using a PS/2 keyboard and/or mouse?
timmur Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 PS2 KB and USB mouse. I've tried using the PS2 adapter with the mouse. I don't have a real PS2 mouse.
