JayKay Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I have the following setup in my Sig, I recently flashed to 704-2BTA bios I have 2 Sticks of OCZ 3200 Value VX I can run them 230 MHz 2-2-2-6 @ 3.0V etc. However, when i set my HTT to 300, my computer will not boot unless ram divider is at 1:2 (the lowest one). Does anyone know why? I even tried 2:3 (which would leave my ram running at 200 MHz) but with no luck thanks
THunDA Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Certain divders dont work right.. I get the same thing with my venice sometimes.. Try to use a different divider if possible,.,
uwackme Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I came to learn that the "max async.." and "read preamble" settings in the bios need to be "looser" to work at high HTT with a memory divider. I went from 7.0ns/fastest/5.0ns at 250/250 1:1, and had to loosen up to 10.0ns, normal, 7.5ns settings to be able to be stable at 250Mhz/305mhz. So 250Mhz 1:1 x11 for 2.75Ghz was fine, and now 305Mhz 5:6 x 9 for 2.75Ghz (and 250Mhz memory) is also fine. Only difference was the max-async and read preamble timings had to be loosened.
