No way this is right

Recommended Posts

MMotherboard monitor says my nf chipset fan is spinning at 7300rpm! There's no way thats right. I added the files for my dfi board as per the forums instructions I found in here. Here are all my temps as listed by MBM:

All temps in celcius:

CPU---------34

PWMIC-----43

NF4 chip----49

GPU---------50

GPU ENV---48

smart HD---39

case---------29

All the settings are stock, no o'cing. The computer is REALLLLLY stable, even though people had told me I should upgrade the PSU( I know, only if I o/c). But doom3, ut2004,far cry, all run at highest settings at 1280x1024, so needless to say I'm really impressed by the performance, but I'm a little concerned about the temps. Is anyone else's system like this?

yes. it is correct.

If you check the folding thread in Off topic section I just posted a screenshot of my mbm5 display of my fan at a robust 7k +

Case reporting decent temps.

Check modifications forums for Ideas on reducing nf4 chipset temp if it gets in or above the 65c range. ( i would and did anyway, but thats just me.)

Your temps look good!

No sense in oc'ing if it's stable, and running everything you want it to run, and doing it good already. Even more so if you don't have much experience in doing it, because it takes ALOT of patience and ALOT of time. Not to mention if you care about your warranties.
