newls1 Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Mine is set to 256 right now. Does this option offer anymore stablity if you lower the number, or is the higher the number more "relaxing" for the ram?
THunDA Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Higher= More relaxed and usually helps with stability when clocking high. Lower= Tighter with better performance.. This is not a very sensitive timing and I really never noticed much difference running it tighter but I do know running higher will help with stability.. Check out the overclocking guide.. Inside of it is also a memory guide that will explain all of the timings..
EdLSmith Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I've got mine at 16. Actualy, I have mine on auto, it selected 16. I'm running a dual Prime95 test and I'm on hour 19 and seems good. Course what works on my may or may not work on yours. My daughter calls my drool 'Slime'. You got a hell of a set there. I may go to something real cold when I get My FX-59(dreams!).
