704 2BTA question

Recommended Posts

Im running the 623-3 bios no probs at all. So i thought Id give the 704 2BTA a shot. I load it on my other bios chip on my RD1 bio saviour she posts sees my drives then it gets to cmos saved OK at the bottom of the screen it doesnt continue to boot it just stays there. Now I have verified with the 623-3 bios on both of the RD1 chips and it works fine. Maybe the 704 dont like my box. Any ideas as I am following all bios flash procedures to the letter. THX in advance

But is it supposed to boot from the CD or do you use a boot disk then access the cd in dos. Cause I extract the tmod rar and I have a file call EZBOOT and in it I can see all the progs but I have burned it as an iso bot doesnt boot when I enable boot from CD. I know Im missing a step when I burn it. Sorry for my being dense here LOL

when you extract the rar file you should be left with a file called "Tmods CD2.iso"

this has the ezboot folder inside, and it also contains information to make the cd bootable when burned, don't extract anything from it

as soundx98 said, just go to nero, and select the menu options

Recorder -> Burn Image

locate the iso file, and burn at a low(ish) speed just to make sure

hope this helps

Open WinRar, select Options, Settings & Integration and untick ISO.

You see when you install WinRar it automatically sets ISO's in its integration menu which can be confusing because it then displays ISO's as RAR files, which can then be extracted like a normal Rar file and this is what you are doing ;)

You can still burn the file normally as an ISO though.

So basically when you download Tmods Rar and then extract it you are left with an ISO called Tmods_CD2. If you have the ISO option checked in WinRar it will look like you've just extracted another Rar file but its not, thats the ISO and thats what you want to burn :)

Dang, those U.K. dudes are fast with the fingers.

Good advice as always Pyr0 and Shinobi.

Shinobi, you got the 2nd post in Tmod's thread. How about doing a little editing to it and givin new users a walk through on making the CD and instructions in detail?

This question has been raised before. Let's try and make it easier.

Easy for me to ask you to do the work isn't it. :)
