Recommended Posts

Which Drivers do I need to install if I'm running on one HD and Windows XP?

I have downloaded the following from http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/dri..._FLAG=A&SITE=US

AUD_RealTek A3751.exe

NDIS_452.zip

nTune2002305.zip

NFORCE_R.exe (Do I need this with only one HD?)

NFref_653_WinXP2K_eng.zip

WinFlacrap6.zip

ITE_SG_050123.zip

NFref_637_w2k.zip

SIL3114_RAID5.zip (Do I need this with only one HD?)

SIL3114_SATA.zip(Do I need this with only one HD?)

Marvell_LAN_721.zip

28. Install MB drivers from DFI supplied CD (Note: some drivers cause problems for some users; do not install Nvidia IDE drivers or Nvidia Firewall / Nforce Network Access Manager programs; do not install Ntune from the DFI disc).

Taken from Ed's build guide in my signature.

DO NOT PUT NTUNE ON YOUR PC.

nTune2002305.zip DELETE *(sirens whaaamp whaamp, warning warning danger Will Robinson.

ITE_SG_050123.zip Basic model, MBM5 thread by Soundx98 and its allows much more detailed sysytem monitoring but it takes a little effor to set up.

Good luck with it man.

Whoops, edit, posted step 27 instead of 28 al fixed now.

Only reason I didn't do it from the CD is because I broke the CD.

So I should install all the RAID ones?

Download MBM5 instead of ITE_SG_050123.zip?

Ok, no need to install the raid drivers if you are not using raid. As well no need to to install any ide/sata drivers for the same reason. The drivers microsoft ide drivers will do just fine. As to the audio drivers install either realtek or nvidia included in NVIDIA System Driver. Not both. As to LAN drivers, you can install both with no issues. As stated above stay away from NTune.

Download MBM5 instead of ITE_SG_050123.zip?

Depends on your preference and skill level.

ITE-smartguardian is basic data and has a simple interface and display.

MBM5 (is what I use) and it is much more detailed and customizable but it takes some working with it to get it all set up.

(Mbm5 supports quite a lot of monitoring. If you decide to use it, use the setup instructions on the thread. *Replace its config with included download and never let it find hwdwre.)
