jlissandrello Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 I've been noticing that my CPU fan is running at about 700 to 900 rpm. When I checked the BIOS, it is set to kick it up to full speed at 50c. Is 50c too high for full speed? Should it be set lower? There is also another fan setting that starts with an N, that is set at 55c. What is that used for and is 55c too high? Compare to the other problems forum members are having, this is not a big deal. However, I would like to know.

Spaminator Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 yeah, I keep mine at full on ~40 degrees. The reason for this is that if the cpu is doing anything other than idling I want it to be as cool as possible.
