winston856 Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Ok so I've been really busy the last week or two, I'm planning to purchase a nF-3 s939 AGP board. Only now I look and nobody has them, not newegg, not monarch, not Mwave, NOBODY. I also hear that DFI has stopped making them and are discontinuing the series!?!!? What's going on here? Why did they do this? It's not like DFI to give up this easily. Can somebody please straighten me out? Please? What's going on?!? Cyberparasite Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 there has been talk of a rev2. if you absolutely need a nf3 939 board why not look at msi?
winston856 Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 I'm not absolutely in need of one, I do want one though. I just wondered what's going on, I don't like being in the dark.
Cyberparasite Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 well no official word from dfi so you know as much as the rest of us...
Samoa Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Yeah Frank, a tech from DFI, who happens to be sending me an upgraded NF3 Ultra D, said there was nothing official from DFI regarding a Rev B, but said he believes they will at some point. So all current Rev A are recalled and sales have stopped. Just get NF4 in the mean time or MSI cause it might be a little wait for Rev B to surface. Are you a marauder, sadist,or perhaps just a plain gambling man? You might want to wait on this for awhile, they are non-existant at all retailers, possibly for good reason. Cyberparasite Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 if you're really dying to get your a64 feet wet the ut 250gb is an awesome overclocker that will accept that highend agp card and the cpus are at an all time low. fun stuff

oicurafox Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 In the States, they were at ATACOM the other day.... ATACOM Lifetime Rating: 6.62 Common sense ask me this. "Why if this board is only 3 months old, doesn't Newegg,ZipZoomFly,Monarchcomputer,Ewiz, etc. carry them"? Is it because they're selling so fast, that the production line can't keep up? Doubt it. Those board are most likely initial shipments that are still on the floor, and havent sold. However,I would like some confirmation from someone that works within DFI that the board is still in production, and is still being shipped, please. Guest Nano Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 How much does this board costs? 100 bucks? it's not like you are going to ruin your whole life by buying one... I have one and it works fine. Some guys ruin FX-57 chips and X2 chips by removing the IHS, a lot more money wasted on that. I'm not rich :-) Btw I had the NF3UT250gb board before and it ran fine. I just bought the Ultra D to play around with it. Even if I have 200-300Mhz higher clock difference, I can absolutely not tell the difference from the Socket 754 board. In reality it made no sense to buy this board excepted to play around with a Venice.
