Little help figuring things out plz

Ok, first of all Hi everyone, as far as I remember this would be my first post here, after reading for days and days :s

Here's my little "problem":

Within the next 4 or 5 days my rig will arive here, atleast in bits and pieces.

I know more than enough to put every last bit together (real hard eh :ironic: ).

The real problem is that I don't know what ram chips I will have :s

I needed something cheap and I needed it quick so someone will get me some corsair twinx modules (don't ask more but I think the timings started with 2-* or 2.5-*), but I have no idea what they are, tccd or whatever (yes, I am quite a n00b at ram chips)

Wich brings me with the real problem, I know dfi has different versions of the bios for different types of ram.

Could anyone help me find out what type of chips I got?? Or can't I do that before I actually get them?

Also, I just can't seem to find what bios I could start with best. I know every rig is different but there has to be a bios wich works quite fine in most of the cases, or not?

I know it might be hard to read my crap I wrote here but my English is not that good.

Here are the most important things so someone could answer my questions.

Dfi nf4 Ultra-D

venice 3000+

corsair twinx matched pair 2*512mb (no further information)

msi x800xl

520 powerstream (for the first week or so a 460W enermax as my ocz can't be delivered yet but I'm sure it will run just fine @ stock speeds)

audigy2zs

2 pata and one sata hd + nec dvdrw 3540 (not that this is probably of any use)

So I would like to know the following things:

What type of ram do I have (I think tccd but then again I hardly know anything about ram)

What bios should I use with that rams (I'm talking about the -1 -2 -3 )

What would be a good bios to start with?

Thx at advance

I'm pretty sure most of my questions are already somewhere here but I simply don't find them :s

Might have something to do with my English though :D

edit: I think this should have been in the Nvidia Nforce 4 section :s

if any mod reads this and shares my thought, could you plz move it

You really need to know the exact part #.. And even then sometimes you still would need to look on the rams label to see if there is a version # on it.. Corsair usually puts versions on it which could make a difference in knowing what chips they use..

Please list what components you plan on getting.. or at least what you already have in your sig.. It may not help with what your asking for now .. But its good to do because one of us might point something out to you that might not work well with your DFI mobo and let you know about it now before you purchase it..

Back again, change of plans: a friend of mine also buys a new pc, with a Tagan psu, now I have another friend that uses the same mobo (asus a8n sli) and an even older psu with only 420W.

His oc'ing with that board/psu went fine so I asked my friend if he didn't wanna trade his tagan with me :D

He agreed so I'll be having this baby instead of that ocz (or that enermax I am now having)Tagan TG 530 U 15

That baby should do the trick :P

Ok one more question, friday I'll get all my stuff so is there any suggestion about a bios version to use with the specs I have?

If there are more options (cause I don't know what ram I got yet) plz just let me know.

If it could help you ppl, my venice should be working at 2700-2800 mhz if possible.
