If you have a mobile, DTR or you remove the IHS from a desktop A64,

the ONLY HS's that are proven to work without modification are the Alpha & the Swiftech.

The XP-90/XP-120 needs a thin silver or copper shim.

As to why Zalman HS's are not recommended:

(1) They are designed for "quiet", not OC'ing.

(2) The all copper ones are too heavy, the XP-90C isn't recommended either & for the same reason.

(3) The aluminum & copper ones don't cool as well as the recommended HS's.

(4) Because of their size, they have often "fitment" problems.

(5) In the US, they just do not repersent a "good value" for extreme over-clockers.

Hey all, sorry about not posting results...I'll post some pics soon as Fileshack seems to be down at the moment.

I'm running at 2760 (12x230) with my Memory on a 9/10 Divider as it won't run any higher than 225 2-3-3-5 1T 3.2v (All other settings very relaxed, yet still kept failing Test 5 in Memtest86+) 1:1. My timings are 2-2-2-5-1T @ 2.9v (197MHz)

EDIT: Alright all, here's some temp. screenies for your viewing pleasure:
