supershanks Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Yep  You can get a lot of detail from CPUId or Central Brain but i haven't found software yet that gives it. I'm just a sado who records it when i install it - 4 times like this.
Guest Spartacus Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I would be a little concerned with each stick showing different SPD data. Are the numbers on the chips actually the same between both sticks? They were not purchased as a dual channel set correct? Here are my settings if you would like to try them. My system is very stable, runs all diags & games (HL2, Farcry, etc.) no problems. FSB Bus Frequency 275 LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio 3 LDT Bus Transfer Width 16 16 CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio 10 PCI-Express Frequency 100 CPU VID Control 1.45 CPU VID Special Control 113% (reads 1.62v in BIOS) LDT Voltage Control 1.4 Chipset Voltage Control 1.8 DRAM Voltage Control 2.9 Dram Frequency Set(Mhz) 200 Command Per Clock (CPC) En 1T CAS Latency Control(tCL) 2.5 RAS# to CAS# Delay(tRCD) 4 Min RAS# Active Timing(tRAS) 7 Row Precharge Timing(tRP) 3 Row Cycle Time(tRC) 9 Row Refresh Cycle Time(tRFC) 12 Row to Row Delay (tRRD) 2 Write Recovery Time(tWR) 2 Write to Read Delay(tWTR) 2 Read to Write Delay(tRTW) 2 Refresh Period(tREF) 4708 Write CAS# Latency(tWCL) 1 DRAM Bank Interleave Enabled DQS Skew Control Auto DQS Skew Value 0 DRAM Drive Strength 7 DRAM Data Drive Strength Auto Max Async Latency 8 **DRAM Response Time NORMAL Read Preamble Time 5 Idle Cycle Limit Auto Dynamic Counter Disabled R/W Queue Bypass 16x Bypass Max 7x 32 Byte Granulation Dis(4) EDIT: You are right that the refusal to run 1T is likely a CPU mem controller issue. Sometimes it takes a LOT of experimenting but you may still be able to find settings that will let you run 1T. Try setting DRAM Response Time to NORMAL. Bak Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 THe two sticks where bought as a dual channel kit. This is driving me insane, i've just been trying my A8N motherboard again, it turns out to be stable at 1T at stock speeds, and even up untill 240fsb x 10 multi (although above that it's baibai) I can't even keep 1T stable on any speed on the DFI. Now i'm starting to believe that this mobo is broken. This is driving me insane...
