That makes the lower slot 8x instead of 2x. For the NB cooling, there are a lot of threads about that subject. Do a search. This has been asking a zillion times, well maybe not a zillion but it sure has been waaaay too many times.. There is also a thread where someone benched the difference when using 8x and 16x..
