Also are you using a shim at all?? rstan25 Posted July 28, 2003 Posted July 28, 2003 I have seen this when you place the CPU cooler on backwards. There is a portion of the cooler that has a slight inset to match the ZIF socket. duffbeer911 Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 I finally got my Barton 2500+ up and running just with the HSF that comes in the box. And I'm not using thermal paste - just the thermal pad.
