RyanW2050 Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 I was sparked by Fragman's computer in a suitcase... After digging around on the web i found this. Does anyone know of a guide for doing this? I travel between 2 houses weekly and this > A laptop.

Hymn Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 be creative, base it off of that design, haha i think thats pretty darn cool. it would be cooler to get a bigger breifcase, and cut out a part for sidepanel window =p Tom
Hymn Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 now im really thinkin and gettin into it... it would be kick butt instead of a sidepanel window, but u do like soundx, and put an LCD in the case so you dont need a monitor. or something like so, idk =p
OceanSeasforMe Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Indeed, with the technology today the possibilities are endless. Aluminum cases are not cheap. But are very very sturdy. Usually about the size of a small luggage case and not very big but it would be cool.

Surfeit Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 I made one of those several years ago, but I never quite finished it. I modded the psu so it had a cut down surge strip coming out of it. The surge strip ran directly to the wall through the power cord connector on the back of the PSU and then the PSU and monitor plugged into the strip. All of the components except the PSU and were mounted on a tray that could be lifted out of the box. It was way too loud and weighed in around 30lbs. I had to use a shoulder strap to carry it around and I got bruises on my shoulders from lugging it.
