cdelong Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Well I burned the CD last night. It boots, but I did not flash quite yet. I have the 704-BT bios on my SLI-DR and I ordered another SLI-D for another rig I'm building. I used CDBurner XP Pro (freeware) to burn the ISO. It was quite easy for anyone looking for a good freeware DVD/CD burning solution. After ISO extraction per OP, I opened up CDBurner XP Pro and selected to burn ISO1 image. There is a drop down menu in the center of the screen to select what you want to burn. From the drop down file menu>write ISO to disc, worked just fine. Roger_D25 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Hey Abnormal, welcome to dfi.street! I take it you just built your system recenlty? Not a bad system! If you get the time fill out your system specs so that we all know what hardware your using and what your major settings are? It will allow us to better help you out. From what you have told us it is hard to give you specific help becasue we dont' know what your clock speed are, what BIOS your currently using, etc.... Then we'll have you gaming with no problems in no time!
Xtreme1 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi, I did the everything you said for the cd5 to cd2 but it won't work for the Bios OCZ Tony E704-2bt and thats what I did every thing for, it would be the best for TCCD ram would it not. All the other Bioses work and utilities.
Guest Tmod Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi, I did the everything you said for the cd5 to cd2 I am not following what you mean going from cd5 to cd2. Tmod
Xtreme1 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 What you refer to as replacing CD2 with CD4, CD5, CD6 to mean the same thing in the file you creat.
Guest Tmod Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Xtreme1, I would suggest you download CD6.5 and try that. Tmod
OTT Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Is there any better BIOS than the 12-07-2005 for the Expert? Especially for the Opteron (yes i know: of course not official but at least safe tested...) and my ram  See my sig! Thanks
Roger_D25 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 OTT, I also have the Expert but I have only tried 2 different BIOS versions. I originally used the same as you, 12/07/05. I then switched to the E704-2BT because I had replaced my RAM with some UTT/CH-5 so that BIOS was better suited for the higher voltage RAM. I had to RMA that RAM so now I'm back to 12/07/05. I have not had any problems with 12/07 although like you I have been curious to try some new versions. The problem is not many people currently have the Expert and theres not many BIOS versions available at the moment. Hopefully that will change soon! loggan26 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Um just Dl'ed this Tmod' Shinobi, the bios you have moded SHin are they geared for any specific type of ram? Was thinking of flashing but am wondering if you can help with any advice on what you have done to your particular modded bios. Tmod, i have had a look at your Iso and was wondering if it was possible to add my own modded bios to it, (for myself) its not .BIN files you have in there but .IMG so was wondering what or any advice you could give or if it is possible. Cheers Logan.
