Monkey6915 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 what cooling do you have cause that seems pretty low maybe you have the temp probe on wrong. and if its the mobo probe they are off by a few and sometimes alot (mine is off by about 5*C). so your temps are ok either way. And the fsb you should be able to get up to 200 no probs with them temps. maybe have to fidget around and see whats more stable
DevilMB3017 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 I dont forsee FSB of 200 for that. The RAM is only DDR-333. You'll be lucky to get a 190 FSB, but should be able to get up to around 170-180's no problem. Phatom, just take the FSB up in small increments, such as 3 or 4, and then slowly lower it by one after you have reached an instability. It's easy! B) But that baby should reach 170, even with DDR-333 if you can give the RAM a little extra juice...

phantom Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 well those temps are from bios with newest bios update. i now sit at 173/12.5 @ 2.17ghz , and i ran prime95 stress test for 8 hours without a problem...., so i think i can go higher?? shouldnt it be reading as a xp3000 by now? , because its still saying xp2800+ oh yea, my multipliers can go to 13, should i make it 13??? Overclocker16 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 If you can do it. Raise it to 13. Go run Prime95 for a few hours. If all is fine, up FSB to about 175. That will give you 2275MHz. That should give you a reading of 3200+.
phantom Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 hmm, well when i raised the multi to 13, and i restarted and went back into bios and it read my comp as a 856ghz ?, so i figured i'd put it back to a 12.5 and i up'd the fsb to 177. which runs me @2.21ghz right now, and seems stable, yet it still reads a amd xp 2800+ :S, i guess i'll go to 180 after testing stability of this...
