r1derbike Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 I can't hear my 74 gig Raptors. These are the first HDDs I've ever owned that I cannot hear. Charles

I can hear mine! The only HDD's that I can't hear are the Seagates & Hatichi's.
r1derbike Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 OK, these are the only drives I've had mounted in a rubber-grommeted, floating mount! ;-} Turn down the Tornado's!
r1derbike Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 When I do something major, like adding new software to the Raptors, I ALWAYS do an HDD clone to a data drive (assuming everything is running right), then disconnect it so I'm not tempted to dink with it. This has saved my butt more than once, when things go to hell in a handbasket... ;-} Juggling six drives on my system at times (two USB removables), I've done...well...some stupid stuff. Now with all/most of your data on the RAID 0 array, you need to do frequent back-ups,because if you lose one HDD, you lose ALL of your data. __________________
