Pcie4 X2?

ok, lets try this again!! I have my Vid card in the PCIE4 slot in 2x mode, will I see any performance gain in Doom3 if I enable SLI in the jumpers to 8x? I dont want to move my card to the top slot.

 

Also, in the timedemo of doom3, im geting 59.95 FPS, 1024x768 , detail HIGH, no AA, AF application controlled, everything else turned on except V-sync.

Well according to some people, the jumpers to enable x8 are only there for SLI, it won't work on the Ultra. Also seeing that switching the jumpers on the Ultra are not "Officially" explained in any of DFI's documentation you shouldn't do it

you'll see a percentage point or two higher bench scores @ 16x vs 8x, and the same for 8x vs 2x

 

not really a big deal...but if you plan to use the second pci-e slot only, then go ahead and swap the jumpers so it gets 8x
