Computer won't boot after installing new Video Card.

Recommended Posts

Hi I just got a Video Card, I installed it, then the drivers.. Restarted the computer then back into Windows to play World of Warcraft. After 15 minutes of use, my computer froze, then it rebooted by itself, no post on the screen but my monitor is receiving signal and then Signal is gone and one long beep.

I reset the BIOS several times, reseated the Video Card and still the same thing. I get 4 LED, 1 flashing for 5-10 seconds maybe less then it counts down where I'm left with 1 lit LED and again the Long Beep.

It did "boot up" properly 2x but I got stuck on the Splash Screen.

Any ideas?

Just a few questions? What video card did you have? Did you uninstall video drivers first. Have you tried you "old" video card?

I had an ATI X300, yes I uninstalled the Video Drivers first. The old Video Card works but only on 2nd PCI-E slot, I got a feeling my motherboard might be bad. I don't know
