chris.y2k.r1 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 XP-120 My personal second choice would be the Silent Tower 112 by Thermaltake.
Vortexics Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I use Thermaltake Beetle and works much better then the XP-120, temps 23°C idle, 29°C full load, with an OC of 267x9.
Yashu Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Zalman, easy... this is just a better heatsink... the xp90C might cool half a degree better but the zalman wins hands down when it comes to installation. (esp when you have your IHS off)
shiyan Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Zalman, easy... this is just a better heatsink... the xp90C might cool half a degree better but the zalman wins hands down when it comes to installation. (esp when you have your IHS off) I went from the 7700 to the XP90C and saw a temp drop of around 5C there are few coolers better than the XP90C at the moment here are a few that are definitely better than the XP90C in terms of cooling/noise Scythe Shogun Scythe Ninja maybe the new Zalman 9500 cooler with the 8 shaped heatpipes... the Zalman 7700 is not as good for the same noise level the XP120 is not as good for the same noise level. chris.y2k.r1 Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 The Thermaltake Sonic Tower is supposed to be a really good cooler (with a large fan) but I don't know of anyone who has it?? Thermaltake claims that is their best heat sink as far as overclocking and cooling are concerned.
rodan Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I use xp-90c, 92mm Panasonic high 35db and run 91f idle 110f load, 78f room at 2.7g, 270x10 @1:1. Have lots of room below sink. I have taken off the ihs and modded the xp-90c retension brackets to make better contact with core.
