Which is better out of these 2

Will both of these be powerfull enough to drive 2 x 7800GTX if i choose to in the future?

I live in Australia and can get the Enermax for $115 and the Antec for $154 so take that into consideration also.

Guest Shibby

I would choose something from the "A" list for SLI from David Hammock's PSU guide:

http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10854

He is incredibly knowledgeable and his word carries a LOT of weight around here. The machines on his A-list have been shown to work well many times over on these boards. I've read that the 7800GTX's draw a LOT of power, so research that as well (I would personally get one of the recommended 600 Watt PSU's on the list, just to play things really safe...especially if I was planning on tacking a lot of HDD's, fans, etc into the system).

I just picked up the Enermax (Enermax 535W FMA ATX12V Ver2.01 535W) because I needed an extra psu to troubleshoot with.. I must say the rails are VERY stable..

Out of the box the rails read .. ( With a dmm )

12v = 12.15v

5v = 5.14v

3.3v = 3.35v

Even when running occt or memtest they dont budge.. Overall im very happy so far and especially since it only cost $88 from the egg..

Once I get my rig back up to where I had it I'll post a little review of it here..

I have an Enermax 600W and have been very happy with it so far. If you are thinking of possibly going with 2x7800s in the future I would get a bigger PSU though. If you plan to have multiple Optical drives, harddrives, etc. you will be drawing a lot of power. If you overclock, the power goes up even more.

Check out this site to get an idea of your power requirements.

The Enermax is a better choice for the DFI N4 mobos & has more than enough for SLI with 7800's. :nod:

I am running my system with the enermax 535 2.01. Voltage is rock solid stable.

As well my system. :)

mind if i ask... how do you measure the rails?

ide love to see how my Antec TP-II 550W's rails are.

does anyone have a tutorial on that?

i do have a voltage meter. :)

david was curious on what your checklist is for checking PSU and do you reallytear them apart?
It really depends on the PSU.

If it is just a "replacement, non-high performance" type, I'm pretty gentle.

If it a highend, high performance PSU,

I will try to test to distruction & will take it apart to see if it truly meets its claimed specs.
