Najib Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Hey I'm now getting the error: "this disk does not contain a windows xp compatable partition" when I am trying to install windows xp. It doesnt matter if I delete all of my partitions and create one big one, it still gives the same error. I've tried creating one partition and formating it in the recovery console but I tried installing windows xp after that and it gave the same error. The disk is mbr and I am loading all the correct drivers for it (sata nvatabus that is) before installing. This is not the first time I've installed windows xp on this harddrive. Also I recently used partition magic 8 pro to copy my harddrive onto another harddrive. I'm thinking it has something to do with that... Can anyone help? -Najib
