upgrading help please

Hey guys just to give ya a lil info on my situation. I built a computer a few months ago and it was ripping through games and about a week ago i kept getting the blue screen of death. So after about 5 trys i reformated my computer and the blue screen went away but, my performance gaming wise went to hell. freezing up sluggish ect ect, so after a week of dectective work i figured 2 of my dimms on my K8N Neo 2 plat have stopped functioning.

 

My setup is:

K8N Neo2 Plat

6800 GT BFG

FX-55

corsair pro-series 512 x 4

Vapo chill LS

PSU antec true power 550 or 500

 

I have decided to go to a new DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

 

I know i will need a new graphics card so im going to start with a 7800 GTX.

But I have read that the ram i have may cause problems. It is Corsair pro series xtreme memory speed CMX512-3200XLPRO 400mhz 2.2.2.5 x 4 . If it will not work what kinds/brands are suggested? (if ya can will ya gimme a link please).

Native 24-pin ATX is REQUIRED!

sorry i forgot to mention i would like to have at least 2 gigs and as i understand it it would be better to have 2 1gig stix (for OCing) than 4 512s am i currect?

4x512 of good memory will overclock better (and cheaper) than 2x1024 will

 

look in the overclocking Database....Thunda and I have been able to take TCCD 4x512 over 260x10 and 264x11....the best I can get with 2x1024 is 250x11 with my PC4000 OCZ 2x1024

angry if i had no spending limit on the ram, i prefer 4 x 512. What TCCD ram would you buy.

BFG 6800 GT (agp model) (replaced)

MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM Socket 939 (replaced / dead)

Corsair pro series xtreme memory speed CMX512-3200XLPRO 400mhz 2.2.2.5 x 4 (replaced)

TRUE CONTROL 550 ATX 550w Power Supply (replaced)

 

Upgraded parts:

DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR

BFG Geforce 7800GTX

OCZ Powerstream 520w

1 GB DDR (2 x 512) PC-4800 (600) OCZ Plat Elite (two of these)
