tired of my hot computer

Try to get rid of the wires, by wrapping them behind the motherboard if you can.

There should be enough space (about 1/2" to 1") between the motherboard and the right side panel of the case to route PSU wires. This has tremendously helped airflow and temperatures for me. Good luck.

EDIT:

Also, if you have a video card thats running pretty warm, remove the PCI slot guards on all of the non-populated slots. This should make a fairly sized hole at the back of your case, for the heat from the video card to escape. Now, not only do your front case fans act as intake fans but semi-exhaust fans to push that heat out the back. It lowered my video card temps by about 5C idle/full load.

i don't think that's possible. i used rounded IDE cables and they take up most of the bulk. i've tried putting a room fan next to it and it still have high temperatures. makes me wonder if it has nothing to do with airflow at all.

Actually with your PC65, it won't be possible without modding the case, because there are just 2 plates of metal that hold the PSU in place instead of just 2 rails on other cases. I had to cut a hole in the right plate (if you're looking at it from the front of the case) to then be able to route cables behind the motherboard tray. The 24-Pin ATX cable on the powerstream though isn't all that long, so you might have to work with it, if you plan on doing it.

I see you have a intake fan beside the CPU, make that an exhust, and make the top an exhust as well. Then add a powerful 120 MM fan to the bottom of the case as a intake.

I have noticed if you have fans blowing accross the CPU, while your HSF blows down on it, your temps go up.

Yes, I don't know how I missed that. Make the intake fan below the PSU into an Exhaust fan. The fans at the front of the case should be the only fans that are actually intaking air (sans a fan(s) that is intaking from the side of the case). The blowhole and rear fan should both be exhaust fans. That should drop temps there as well.

EDIT:

Remember Ambient temperatures really effect temperature as well. Make sure the room is well ventilated as well.

It sounds to me like you may have applied your HSF on improperly, or there is not sufficent contact with the CPU.

Effectively, your CPU should not be more then maybe 4-5C higher then your room when it's idle if you have proper AS5 with the XP-90. My suggestion would be to clean your XP-90 and proc, re-apply the AS5, and try to make good contact with the CPU.

I think A_G posted a thread around here somewhere that shows huge pictures of cleaning and mounting his HSF. (Maybe it's the NF4 North Bridge I'm thinking about) Either way, it would be a good idea for you to read that thread and look at his pictures to mimic the way he did things.
