Guest oRiOn Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Hey guys, need some help here. Whenever I try to connect on the AIM client, it stalls at connecting and says aim service not availible. I then downloaded Gaim for windows ( love it for linux). I installed, and entered my Sn and Pw and tried to connect and it also had the same problem. 5 Hours ago all of this was fine, what could cause this? PoppyMcShotgun Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Maybe the AIM network is down? (Service not available) I'm at work and don't have AIM installed on this machine, I wouldn't know off-hand. I was about to ask if you had internet... but then realized well, you wouldn't be posting on this forum if you didnt have internet!! Here's my sign.... (blue collar comedy club...) red930 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 AIM and AIM express go through 2 different server clusters which connect to a central datablase. I had to go under connections on the main prefrences tab and haveit find a new way to connect. Did not know what happened really but now it works. Thank you for the replies.
