Managing RAID drives?

Recommended Posts

STILL waiting on tigerdirect to deliver my damn 6800gt. newegg 's stuff has been here for over a week :D. am planning on using A_G's setup on website for RAID. wondering if i should mess around with the cluster size, etc. will be using mostly for gaming and some music so im not sure....

also, once win xp install formats ur drive they are ready to go right? i was reading through the booklet on nvraidman on www.dfi.com that left me confused as to if the drive will be partitioned or not...

thanks in advance

Changing cluster size to try to optimize your RAID setup with Windows XP SP2 can be a major PITA. I suggest you just get up and running before messing with it. Just use the defaults for now.

And yes, once your RAID is configured, Windows setup will see it like any other new drive, and offer to partition and format it for you.

Have fun!
