Hey AG!!Why is Monarch Computers saying all your boards were BAD?

Recommended Posts

Well, I ordered one on the 17th, got it 3 days later, I can't get the damn thing to boot. Tried 3 power supplies and 2 kinds of memory, nothing at all. The fans start to go the first time you hit the power button then nothing but silence...I guess this is going to be a repeat of my NF2 experience where I have to buy 2 or 3 motherboards and wait a couple of weeks to get a damn computer running.

But welcome to the forum Soul.Survivor

Start a thread with some details and maybe we can figure it out.

we can get more replies with a new thread.

Unless of course you are blaming it on Monarch :D

When I bought my lanparty, they had advertised it with the frontx and the transpo kit but then when it arrived, it was a regular UT box. I called and asked them and in that one week, they (monarch's webmasters) had altered the web site to remove the added items. OH well! I still got a decent deal, $178. Go, Go pricewatch!

I believe that its who buys the motherboards..

We all know that the DFI NF4 boards aren't the easiest boards to setup, even at stock. It needs some tweaks.

So, get 100 noobs. They all read the reviews... So they get one. Then .. ohh its not working. The Monarch guys dont' know better so hey.. yeha its not working. Send it all back... Well a posibility.

THough there is a chance that there was a bad set of boards...

I'll send it back to you working, or help you rma any parts that are not working/compatible. I can replace the motehrboard on the spot.

Maybe do a search for Seasonic psu problems with our boards...Rgone and I were talking about this a little on the phone last night.

"tweaks"?

I certainly don't think the reference was to your problem.

I'd be in a crap mood as well if I had a rig 6 days and it was a no go. Real crap.

If you want you can start a thread Soul and walk us through what happened in a little more detail. Probably a bad board like you said, but maybe somrthing is amiss.

You said the board turned on, lit up, and then turned off. But am I reading now it doesn't ever power up.

EDIT: dang that Angry is fast tonight. Hope you get it all sorted out Soul.Survivor

You said you fixed computers for a living, and was good at it, so can I assume, that you've atleast tried clearing the cmos for about 15 minutes, with the battery out, and unplugged, then tried booting back up with only 1 stick in the furthest orange slot? Only the bare nessesities plugged in, like all 4 mobo power, cpu, 1 stick ram, and vid card.

Oh, and just to stay on topic....Monarch STILL hasn't sent me my damn amd sticker(s). haha

@ Andy:

Cuold this have anything with the THG testing to do? I don't trust THG but there has been a suspicious lack of hammering that very test.

That's a possibilty, but IMO Tom's muffed that test up big time. MY 600w kicks BUTT. :) I really have had no feedback on this and can't verify Monarch's position.

Just read through this and I think what Soundx98 is trying to say is that it's just what they say or promise that gets you so frustrated. Just as simple as those damn Paid Programming commercials that say, "If you call within the next ten minutes," or "While supplies last", then you call, "well we're all out of that sorry." Simple, you tell someone your gonna do it, do it, no excuses just get the job done, period!! Stickers or not, they should have sent him a box and gave him free shipping on his next order. Whatever you can do to make sure that customer is not only gonna come back, but he's gonna bring people with him.

Some of my grandpa's best customers are ones that he's had quarells with. It's all in how you treat them, the end result.

Like Newegg, I'm sure by now everyone knows about my 5 Antecs that have gone bad or were DOA, I just got my $50 check for shipping reimbursment, and still have the PSU sitting in the box right next to me. All I gotta do is send it back and get a full refund!! I mean thats the way it should be done. Customer Service. I still believe that the customer is always right, and so do they after I get off the phone with them. People are to soft on companies nowadays. THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!! Make them follow through with what they promise!! Frozen CPU and there "Check here and we'll deliver it on Saturday", BS, well I checked it and it never showed up, but the bill sure did on my credit card. WTF??? So I let them know about that one. Only took them a month to credit me 11 bux, but it's the point is all.

Bottom line is that you should call back and let them have it in a nice way, then if nothing else, cancel and order somewhere else. They'll learn sooner or later!! I would have already demanded money back, and interest...lol.

EDIT: And I just got back from this new casino up here and won $645 bucks tonight!! W00T Off of $40, playin Spanish 21.
