Amd Vs Intel

Recommended Posts

Okay, im writing this post for all of you intel lovers out there. I recently bought an Amd Athlon Xp 2100 1.73 mhz. Im running a 7200 rpm hard drive with 512 megs of ddr pc2100 ram. My friend a few months ago bought a nice sony viao 2.0 ghz pentium 4 northwood chip. Ive seen both of them and realized a few things. The athlon xp chip runs most programs faster. The pentium 4 seems like it would run better on windows 2k. If your building a computer i think amd is the way to go. If your buying a computer and dont have tons of money, i think amd is the way to go. In my opinion, the only reason to run an intel chip is for graphics programs such as lightwave, vue de sprit, bryce ect.

Don't diss my computer and Lewis my computer isn't fried right now (it sounds like you)! Bosco mine is morphing out of being a Sony so you can no longer diss me about it soon...it is actually not bad and the ymodded the stuff (i.e. new hsf for processor) and it runs pretty dang well...I wouldn't buy an AMD purely because of Lewis though he fries computers like chicken (I'm a vegetarian ;) ). Lewis stop bitching and you know I have no cooling right now it is a side-effect of having an 8" tall case...But that is gonna change tomorrow ;)!

Ahh, Im lewis, yes, my mobo may be fried, its in the shop right now. But, if you think that the p4 2.0 northwood is fast, you sure as hell know how to slow it down as much as possible :) And dont blame it on your cooling. Probably gonna be craped trying to move the mobo into the new case.

P.S. Meat is Yummy :)
