I've just dropped in the Barton and happily have it clocked at around 2190 (12.5*175) with plain old samsund pc 2700 on a ver1 a7n8x. Idle temps around 32/34 and seems to max at 40ish in a warm room. Anyone tried this combo and pushed it harder? Seems wierd to me as the old xp2000 ran hotter without an overclock...(using asusprobe to check and compare with old chip). not complaining though =) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
C0DE Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 also check the temps in the Bios... my asus prob is kind with the temp readouts... although i have heard it go both ways. but my Barton 2500+ didnt go past 39c with stock heatsink and fan when at default speeds.
