Guillaume Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Here's what I found on a website: "All bioses from 5.09 and later are optimized like this, TCC* = Orange slots and BH-5,UTT = Yellow slots" Do you guys confirm this? In my case, I would install my xp4000 redline in the yellow slots then.
applejacks Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Really depends on your setup. If your going to give them the voltage you need you should switch them to the yellow slots. Although some people do up the voltage and leave them in the orange slots and have no problems at all. What your looking for is the XXX-2 bio's as they are more gearted for UTT chips. Angry_Games Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 i only use -2 bios versions and yellow slots for ALL memory types. Period. Only time i use Orange slots is when using 4x modules together
daglesj Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Wow its yellow slots now. I looked this up when I got my board about 5 months ago and the orange slots where the 'slots de jour'. How things change with BIOS updates I guess.
