VenuS Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Anyone have something to comment about those? Ceramique takes 25 hours + thermal cycles to break in, but AS5 takes 200 hours... Anyone had better results with Ceramique or AS5?
arthurleung Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I'm using Ceramique and the break-in is really fast. I avoided AS3 and AS5 due to their silver content, just to play safe. Both AS5 and Ceramique are very nice. I doubt they'll have more than 2'C difference after fully break in.
lowfat Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 AS5 is slightly better, but i use ceramique because its 1/3 the price.

loc.o Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 AS5 becomes solid (and crap) at very low temps. Ceramique is recommended for that.
Hymn Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 what do you mean exactly loc.o "solid (and crap) at very low temps" are you saying Ceramique is good for low temperatures? ...but isnt AS5 and Ceramique supposed to make low temperatures? lol im lost! loc.o Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 At subzero temps the AS5 becomes solid and Ceramique doesnt, thats why its better to use Ceramique on a Vapo or Mach. I thought TS was looking for differences between the two, this is one.

Smoken Joe Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I use AS3 simply because it is pretty simple to install correctly and I bought a very large tube 5 years ago
