rldolph79 Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Works well enough as long as you don't mind a little noise...it's louder than any of my case fans or PSU fan when it's at full speed (~7000 rpm).

billy1ear Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 I post this pic sometimes when I see the chipset cooling question because I think it is funny, plus I would kinda like to try it. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/attachment...tachmentid=1813

Grumpy Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 I used that Zalman on my board. Didn't have to bend nearly as many fins as that guy did though. Now my chipset never ever goes above 37c. Well worth the effort to get rid of that rediculous stock fan.
ncsa Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 This thread is prob. offers the most options and yes ppl are replacing them ... but mainly for personal reasons, that is they can... The stock fan Ihave found to be quiet, even at full speed and cools well. Airflow in the case is the key to help this HSF out. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6577
